A local NHS Trust building was being hit by thefts of computer equipment. Again, there was a security officer on site, but the complex is too large for one officer to cover efficiently. A Flexigard system was installed, and a series of 20 sensors was placed around the perimeter, and on some flat roofs that had been used for access. A repeater unit and high gain antennas were used to ensure good transmission on what is a large and complicated site. The security staff have said that the system was a great help by alerting them to people on site, and that it has assisted in preventing at least three intrusions. Flexigard has increased security on the premises, at little extra cost to the organisation.
